Two-time winner of the All-Russian English Olympiad

For the past 3 years I have been able to participate in the Final Stage of the All-Russian English Olympiad, which combines elements of US and UK history and politics, literature, creative writing and linguistics. I got to that point after becoming the winner of the School, Municipal and Regional Stages. While the Olympiad is meant for students from the 9th to 11th grades, I managed to win the prize-winner diploma twice, in the 8th and 9th grades, placing me in the top 50 students in Russia.

Member of the Letovo Student Self Government and Electoral Committee

Being a grade representative is truly an invaluable learning oppurtunity. After gaining the majority of votes in the school election, I realized that a great responsibilty has fallen onto my shoulders. That served as a motivator to go out and actually solve the problems that were troubling my classmates. In my journey I learned how to actively listen to others, solve problems on short notice and mediate tense situations between parties. Even though it was hard for me at first, it was all worth it when I realized that I am doing everything for the greater good of my school community.

Admin of the 'About English. Letovo. Group.' Telegram Channel

Ever since I've started my olimpiad journey I knew that the knowledge that I've aquired through my hours of preparation should be shared with others who also want to succeed in the field. In turn, I have created the Telegram Channel 'About English. Letovo. Group' which has over 650 members, where I share useful tips and information to help prepare for the challenges that one may face on their Olympiad journey. For me, it is a great way to give back to the community and to motivate younger generations to try their hand at English Olympiads.

Approved UNICEF volunteer

From May to July of 2025 I spent time volunteering at UNICEF in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, helping bring to fruition several project including the Young Climate Champions Closing Ceremony. I am officially endorsed by Inna Wolfson, who is the Youth Adolescent and Development Officer at UNICEF Uzbekistan.

English olympiads

Since the 5th grade I have actively participated in different English Olympiads and they have played a huge part in my life. Through preparing for the olympiads and actually writing them I have learned to make peace with failure, to continue on the path towards your goals even when it feels like you are only moving backwards and to never underestimate how much your emotions impact your performance. These contests that may seem to the outsider boring or repetitive have inspired me to continue to develop my language and use it as a tool rather than a passive given. Studying for the A-Levels in Letovo now is just me reaping the benefits of the work I have been putting in for the past 5 years. English Olympiads helped me improve my writing, expand my knowledge of linguistics and inspired my interest in US and UK history, politics and literature. All these factors are extremly useful when applied in essay writing, especially in politics and economics.

Letovo M-UN

This year I became the co-founder of the very first M-UN that took place at Letovo. We drew up the main agenda of the conference, led two M-UN preperation classes and recieved over 30 applications. Ultimately, we totalled over 20 delegates and the conference itself spanned 2 days and 9 hours. It was an unforgettable event, both for us and the delegates. It offered an unique way to apply the student's theoretical knowledge in subjects such as politics, economics and history to real world situations. After the first model took place we recieved countless of requests to continue with our work. The second M-UN Letovo is planned for early February.

Letovo Hebrew Learning Club & Jewish Community

3 years ago I began a petition to start a Hebrew learning club at Letovo, since it wasn't a language taugh anywhere in our extracurriculars. I thought that Hebrew was not just a language, but a way to connect with my culture and encourage others to do the same. To open a club at our school you need 7 signatures. I totalled over 40, which included not only students, but teacher as well. Now I have been studying Hebrew for some time, and while I am not yet fluent the best thing to come out of the club is not the learning process but the community it has built.
